Our story began in 1937 when Dr. Fox of the Medical Research Institute of Johannesburg identified a need for a high quality protein food to serve the country that was stricken with malnutrition due to consumption of too many carbohydrates with little or no protein. After 25 years of research with 828 doctors, his passion and commitment finally paid off. It didn’t take long for this convenient, tasty, balanced food to become a family favourite. Balanced Proteins are what makes ProNutro so special. While proteins are readily available in a variety of cereals, their ability to be fully digested and used by our body depends on the source of protein as well as the processing method used. Not all food proteins are balanced for our needs and not all food proteins are the same in how they are digested.
