General information

Webmagic International offers affordable high-quality web and email hosting and other web services such as site design and e-commerce websites. Our company was established during February 2000 giving us over thirteen years of experience in the internet space.

During January 2013 we embarked on a complete business model overhaul, deciding to spend effort on expanding our hosting portfolio (Both Website and Email). Using our vast experience we commenced setting up a global network of servers to handle specific hosting criteria/requirements. With dedicated mail and web servers we can insure minimal disruption to service and have a full fall-back and disaster recovery system in place.

Our servers, which are our biggest asset are located at the following first tier ISP's namely.

MWEB backbone (Primary web server, Primary mail server, Control panel server).

MWEB have proven themselves to be the leading South African first tier ISP.With peering agreements in place with most connectivity providers, as well as direct International connectivity, MWEB provides fast local download speeds as well as being the closest point in South Africa to direct international bandwidth, giving our users the best of both worlds (High international exposure with local download/upload speeds). Furthermore the MWEB data center is manned 24/7 with experienced technicians. The data center also boasts fire protection, backup power systems and access controlled server storage environments.

7L Networks (Canada)

Our primary international server is hosted by the first tier Canadian ISP, 7L networks, a "geek" approved service provider. This server is primarily used as a fallback server in case of our primary web and email server's experience any unplanned downtime. In the likely event of such a failure, the Canadian server is set to take over the functions of serving website (Technical error with Search engine notification and emergency contact details) and full email support.

Servage (Germany)

Our secondary international server is used to server bandwidth intensive website's and provide for huge storage and bandwidth allocation. This server is also used to host websites aimed specifically at the European market.

Over and above, we also look after dedicated servers on behalf of some of our corporate customers, ensuring maximum up-time and regular installation of security updates and patches to the dedicated servers operating system.
