General information

Huntershaven offers a unique hunting experience on 6 000 hectares of rugged mountains and low-lying grassveld, perfect terrain for the ultimate “fair chase” hunting experience.

Tucked away in the Klipfontein Valley, a mere 20 minutes from Cookhouse (in the Eastern Cape), our newly revamped Itola lodge provides our self-catering and catered clients a cosy stay. The African styled boma, complimented by the covered bar area, guarantees fun-filled, story reciting evenings around the campfire with fellow hunters, friends and family. Added features at the lodge include DSTV, a swimming pool, aircon and cosy en suite wooden cabins.

For the Seasoned Hunter
Huntershaven caters for both the trophy and biltong hunter offering a wide variety of animals. Hunters can choose their preferred hunting style by walking and stalking, bow hunting or sitting it out in a hide. Experienced trackers who have grown up in these parts are available to assist hunters in giving them the best hunting and stalking experience.

What can you hunt?
Known for Kudu, Warthog and Impala, Huntershaven also offers a range of other trophy or cull animals which include: Blesbuck, Bushpig, Grey Duiker, Eland, Fallow Deer, Impala, Mountain Reedbuck, Ostrich, Red Hartebeest, Springbuck, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest and Zebra.
