Addo Dung Beetle Guest Farm is nestled on a mountain-top in the heart of the Sundays River Valley overlooking the beautiful Zuurberg Mountains.The five luxury chalets, three rustic bush cabins and four dung beetle inspired suites, are found on a working citrus farm only 4km (2.48miles) away from the main gate of the Addo Elephant National Park. Situated in a malari free area.

Whether you are looking for a luxurious holiday or a fun-filled adventure, you are sure to have a memorable stay in our beautiful tranquil facility and venue.

Each of our very luxurious and elegantly decorated Chalets has a mountain view and equipped with air conditioners (with a heating option). Bathrooms are en-suite and have indoor and outdoor showers to suit your needs.

The rustic wooden Bush Cabins are for the real nature lovers. Each are on different levels on the hillside in our safari area and walking distance from the main lodge. Each rustic bush cabin has its own private out-side flushable toilet and out-side open air shower adjacent to the cabins. You can enjoy your magnificent mountain view when you are preparing your food on your open deck kitchen or on the fire. Not really suitable for those with walking difficulties.

The 4 Dung Beetle inspired suites are the only, true dung beetle inspired accommodation in South Africa!
The Dung Beetle suites are situated in the succulent valley bushveld vegetation with no view as dung beetle are always hidden, thus leading to a beautiful tranquil surprise in the bush. Walking distance from the main lodge and parking area. Not really suitable for those with walking difficulties. Guests may make use of the other Addo Dung Beetle facilities at the main lodge area such as the swimming pool and more.

A last bit of history - the name of our working Citrus farm, “Miskruier” is not only just a name. The owner, Mr. HHJ Potgieter, had the idea to save this special flightless dung beetle. After developing the farm into a highly productive commercial citrus farm, exporting 14 varieties to approximately 60 countries world wide, Mr. Potgieter then decided to build five luxury chalets with a lapa overlooking the Zuurberg Mountains.
