Matters of the Mind

General information

Matters of the Mind will assist you to connect to your Unconscious Mind (also referred to as the Subconscious Mind). Your Unconscious Mind is responsible for communicating to every cell in your body (and we have over fifty trillion single cells in our bodies).

It is responsible for all sensations and body functions, it keeps our heart pumping and it renews every cell in our body and holds every emotion we experience. It is capable of processing more than two million pieces of information every second, whereas our conscious mind can only retain 9 a maximum of nine items at any one time.

Scientists are only now starting to realize the extent of the Mind/Body connection and how our very thoughts can affect our bodies (negative thoughts do have an adverse effect on our bodies). Eastern philosophy has long recognized the connection between the mind and the body.

The Zen Buddhists realized that all reality begins with the perception and the intention of the mind.

In the 16 century, Paracelsus (Swiss German Physician, Botanist, Alchemist and Astrologer),was persecuted because he dared to state that:“imagination and faith can cause and remove disease.”
