Wicked Waffle

General information

Gino Adriaensen started introducing his great waffles for the very first time at his restaurant in Knysna. After he sold the restaurant, however his passion for the waffles remained extensive, and that’s the reason he launched the Wicked Waffle South Africa and had his first appearance to the public at the Friday market in Knysna.

His waffles are modified from the traditional Belgian waffle recipes which are made by the old fashioned gas waffle machine, imported from a Bakers museum in Belgium by his parents (Walter Adriaensen and Ria Voeten). The idea of modifying those recipes was come across after consulting with some elderly Belgians and carrying out some research. By modifying the recipes, he wants to show the South African public that his waffle is not just an ordinary traditional Belgian waffle but also great in varieties, tastier as well as healthier than the other waffles available in the South Africa’s shops.
