Fairy Caravan

General information

Hello, my name is Liesl van der Hoven. I am an artist, storyteller and the owner of Fairy Caravan.

I absolutely love the magic of telling stories with pictures. Once upon a time, I started thinking about what would happen if children’s book illustrations were brought to life in three dimensions… and that’s when the adventure of Fairy Caravan began!

At Fairy Caravan we strive to create handmade toys and mindful stories that encourage children to dream and play, little friends that will provide children with joy, delight and comfort. We think that it is important to stimulate developing minds and imaginations because we believe that creative children have more capabilities for navigating the challenges of growing up.

All of our products start off as illustrations hand-drawn by me. Once I have completed an illustration and scanned it to my computer, it is time to have it printed on fabric.

My team and I then create our special Fairy Caravan magic by sewing and stuffing the printed fabric into our signature handmade toys.
