Noshtac Training and Consulting CC was founded in May 2010 and the independent business units are currently partially owned by previously disadvantaged individuals. The Company is wholly controlled and managed by a competent team with years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety in the industrial, construction, petrochemical, mining, engineering, agricultural, manufacturing, office & health environment.

Our edge is our expertise, quality of products and ability to promote and enhance the development and performance in any of these environments. Noshtac Training and Consulting CC is based throughout South Africa with Business Units already established in each of the regions.

Noshtac Training and Consulting CC is geared to present competency based training. Our organization holds a TETA and CETA Accreditation. Health and Safety practices in South Africa are becoming increasingly obviated because of legislative amendments and international standardization and MOU with various other SETAS. We are also registered with IOSH and SAIOSH.

Most companies in South Africa do not identify the needs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment, however this is the most important management area of all. Properly implemented health and safety practices (Management Systems) in the workplace will ensure the sustainability of any enterprise.

Management systems considered by Noshtac Training and Consulting CC include OHSAS 1800:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

A health and safety audit is defined as a detailed inspection of a workplace to measure the performance of the health and safety management system and to identify compliance gaps with national health and safety legislation and / or international standards. A detailed audit report is then furnished to the company as guidance to close the identified gaps.

All public owned companies irrespective of size or scope of activities in South Africa must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. Some smaller companies do not foresee the need or lack the competence to establish and maintain a health and safety management system, however, they must comply to ensure penalties of up to R100 000.00 or two (2) years imprisonment is not imposed by: Department Labour / DMR.
