General information
Entabeni farm has a rich and remarkable history. In 1682, three original farms of the valley (Rustenburg, Ida’s valley and Schoongezicht) were granted. Entabeni used to be a part of the original Rustenburg farm (Consolidated High Rustenburg).
In 1976, the entire valley was proclaimed a national monument and, in 2009, Entabeni was granted the status of a Grade 1 listed National Heritage Site.
Stellenbosch’s well-known Health Spa, the Hydro is next door to Entabeni. And two of South Africa’s celebrated wine estates, Rustenberg and Glenelly, are just down the road and within jogging distance. Several award-winning restaurants and world-renowned wine estates, including Lanzerac (1692), Tokara, Thelema and Delaire Graff, are just a few minutes from Hillfarm House.
