Nestled at the foot of the magnificent Steenkamps Mountains and overlooking the Kwena Dam, Lydenrust Guest Farm is situated on 160 hectares of farmland in the Kwena Basin, 30km from Lydenburg, in Mpumalanga.

All accommodation is self-catering with excellent facilities at your disposal. From basic and luxury self-catering cottages to an authentic Native American Indian Teepee exclusive camp, Lydenrust has much to offer the traveller.

Enjoy stunning scenery from the back of a horse on one of our 1-2 hour trails, or set out on foot with a picnic basket on a hike up the mountain.

Whether your interests include horse-riding, bird watching, hiking, mountain-biking, or just laying back and relaxing, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature and the magnificent views.

PALOMINO COTTAGE:
(4-6 sleeper) consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a cosy living area complete with television, DVD player and DVD selection, no DSTV, fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. Built from stone with a thatched roof, Palomino Cottage stays cool during the summer months and warm during winter. Relax and unwind on your private verandah with braai/BBQ facilities overlooking a gurgling stream and paddock where the horses graze contentedly.

SHETLAND COTTAGE:
(2-sleeper) Cosy wooden air-conditioned cabin, private fenced pet-friendly garden, view towards mountains, situated 50m from closest accommodation. 1 double bedroom 1 bathroom (bath only) TV (no DSTV) + DVD and Free movie selection, Outdoor braai plus mini weber. Kitchenette fitted with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, George Forman griller and electric wok.

TEEPEE TENTED CAMP:
(4-sleeper) Exclusive camp site situated next to the river in complete privacy One of a kind experience. No electricity but solar powered for lamps and phone charging. Gas geyser for hot bush shower and proper flush loo!!!! Option of additional 2-man dome tents on request.

BRUMBY HOUSE:
(4-6 sleeper) is a very large 2 bedroomed house. Enjoy a sundowner on the stunning deck with huge braai/BBQ area or an evening under the stars in the open-air boma with fire pit; Other facilities include a splash pool and board games. DVD player + movie selection. No DSTV.

BRUMBY CABIN:
(2-3 sleeper) Self-contained wooden cabin. Budget accommodation, No TV. 1 bedroom, shower and toilet en-suite, kitchenette/living area. Double bed + single bed.
