General information
Location
At the foot of Table Mountain lies De Waterkant, one of Cape Town’s most vibrant and upcoming districts, and it is here that The Grey Boutique Hotel is situated.
With tourist hotspots such as the V&A Waterfront, the Sea Point Golden Mile and the very trendy Long and Bree Street just a stone's throw away, De Waterkant can only be described as an idyllic, upper-class refuge amidst the bustling city life. The beautiful cobble streets, decorated with colourful, historical cottages, boutiques, restaurants, bars, art galleries, and Parisian inspired sidewalk cafes, makes this picturesque haven the most sought-after address for young, ambitious, and multicultural Capetonians.
Hotel:
The Grey Boutique Hotel is a personally directed hotel situated opposite the famous Cape Quarter, making it the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town and its surrounds.
The hotel which consists of beautifully intimate 19th century heritage houses, with various courtyards at its centre, was completely redesigned, renovated, and refurbished in 2016 turning it into a elegant, luxurious space for the discerning traveller.
At our rooftop bar, Skybar, guests can relax by the pool, sip on our unique house cocktails and experience small tapas-style dishes from Shio restaurant, while overlooking the majestic Table Mountain and sapphire blue Atlantic. Skybar is therefore perfect for lazing in the sun, enjoying a sundowner or experiencing Cape Town’s vibrant nightlife after sunset.
At The Piano Bar you can spend your evenings listening to live jazz and blues concerts while enjoying the infamous fresh basil cocktails and mini burgers.
We are also introducing a new Japanese restaurant, Shio, into The Grey Experience. Executive Chef, Cheyne Morrisby, one of Cape Town’s most prominent and successful chefs who previously managed to set a new standard for fine dining with his restaurant Cheyne's in Hout Bay, will provide patrons with unique and innovative contemporary Japanese dishes, which will soon be the talk of the town.
The hotel’s various units function in perfect harmony to create a beautifully designed and luxurious place that caters to guests’ every need.
