General information

Established in 1984, a family business that grew out of sheer determination to deliver quality to the customer, Broadway Sweets is today recognized as a premium importer and distributor of quality confectionery products to the children of South Africa through long established networks of distributors, wholesalers, retailers and street hawkers.

Broadway Sweets was voted the BEST NEWCOMER BRAND for 2004/2005 in the Marketing Federation of South Africa’s “Battle of the Brands” survey. This illustrates the recognition the company has earned in South Africa. In 2005 three of the brands in the Broadway Sweets stable were adjudged to be in the top 10 brands in South Africa by a survey conducted by the respected Sunday Times and Monash University.

Perhaps Broadway Sweets is best known for the powerful support it gives to its brands via high budget media campaigns, including extensive TV advertising.

A major development for the company is its entry, starting in 2006, into the manufacturing of some of its own products. Living up to its reputation for seeking perfection, it has planned launches of its new products only later in 2008, when the products can be manufactured to the highest standards.
