General information

Nanuja meaning "Let's Share" in Korean, is based on Natasha and KwangJeon Lee's desire to encourage a dialogue between their different cultures.

Nanuja have taken the first step in this dialogue by offering customers the opportunity to share their memories, in a truly artistic way with a locally handcrafted Nanuja album or photobook based on traditional Korean binding techniques.

Now in our 12th year of business, we have experience that cannot be easily matched in South Africa. Having invested in tried and tested technology acquired in Korea, we can assure you that our product will stand the test of time.

A Nanuja album is made using a unique panoramic bookbinding technique learnt in South Korea. Each Nanuja album is individually handcrafted using Fuji Crystal Archive paper mounted to board and when opened, allowing the pages to lie flat, ensuring impactful double page spreads. The albums have elegant rounded spines and are available with a range of covers, from genuine leather and leatherette (available in a variety of colours), resin and canvas.

To top it all, we’ve tailored our Nanuja albums further by offering additional features such as personalized photographers’ stamps, embossed initials and also provide the option to clients to supply their own fabric for covers. This has resulted in highly individualised albums, easily identifiable as belonging to a certain photographer and can assist in generating more work from referrals.
