Langeberg Municipality: Code of Conduct for Facebook
Facebook is a platform that is utilised by the Langeberg Municipality to communicate news, issues and events. The platform is a valuable communication tool and provides instant information to keep the public updated.
However, we will not allow posts that contain: hate speech, is threatening or incites violence. Anti-social conduct and gratuitous usage is unacceptable.
While we encourage discussions, we will not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical/mental disability or medical condition.
The Langeberg Municipality will reserve the right to remove comments of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical/mental disability or medical condition.
We would like to urge the public to avoid stereotyping by race, gender, age, religion, ethnicity, geography, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or social status.
Upon continues misconduct, the Langeberg Municipality will have no other choice than to block a specific user.
