De Akker is Stellenbosch’s oldest licensed pub, and is a legend in its own right. The theme of woman, wine and song holds true – the pub has an atmosphere which is distinctly its own. Its a great place to enjoy an ice cold draught on a hot summers day, meet new people and just chill.
The pub is popular with a wide ranging crowd of all ages, and gets very busy on some nights. The upstairs section is known as the Hidden Cellar and hosts a number of live music events.
