General information

Franschhoek Station Pub & Craft Bar is situated at 4 Main Road, Franschhoek, a beautiful building designed by Sir Herbert Baker and was built in 1915.

The current owners Andre and Sandi Niemand bought it in 2013 and changed the name to The Franschhoek Station Pub and Craft Bar.

You will be sitting and enjoying a meal on the platform where people have come and gone for the century past or inside the Station building where the walls are filled with the laughter and joy of meeting friends and family as we hope you will too.

We have a menu to satisfy all your senses, a cozy fire in the winter for your comfort and air conditioning in the summer for those sweltering days with ample outside space for those beautiful days and perfect evenings. At the end of a long day the locals meet at the bar to share a drink and discuss the day's events, visitors are always welcomed and their stories are happy to be heard joining those voices of the past.

We have a safe outside area for the little ones with our own jumping castle, swings and jungle gym to entertain them while you relax. For those too big for the jumping castle enjoy a game of French Boule between the train tracks.

There is ample safe parking and if you are a motor bike enthusiast doing your Sunday breakfast run you can park your shining bikes safely for everyone to see and admire.
