General information
Somerset West Private School opened its doors in 1998 with 8 learners. Today, we have 200 learners, ranging from Grade 5 to Post Matric.
In 2007 we started our primary school to satisfy the demand of our parents . Initially, we had 4 learners, but the school has presently reached 27 learners. We concentrate on inculcating the basic skills. Our main aim is to teach Writing, Reading and Arithmetic (Maths).
Learners are taught to understand Maths and Science through investigation, and are not taught “parrot fashion” – we learn through exploring and investigation.
Learners can only learn if they are happy, relaxed, stimulated, and feel comfortable in their environment. That is our secret to success!
