General information

We offer dictionary-, terminology- and language-related software and consulting services, plus online publishing, website development and custom software development. We were co-founded in 2002 by David Joffe and Prof. Dr. Gilles-Maurice de Schryver (experts in software development and lexicography respectively) based on, a.o., a joint vision of improving the world and bridging cultures through better dictionaries.

Originally dealing mainly with lexicography, we have broadened our focus to also cover terminology management software, corpus query software, software tools for translators, online (Web) publishing, and more. We're guided by a focus on professionalism, world-class quality, and delivering value to our customers.

We have also created award-winning dictionaries for Oxford University Press.

Originally located in Pretoria ('Tshwane'), we are now located in picturesque Gordon's Bay, South Africa, just outside Cape Town.

Our members are active in academic research and have published many publications.
