Computers 4 Kids, an educational IT company, was formed in 1995 by Russell and Elizabeth Pengelly and provides an integrated ICT curriculum to primary and secondary schools. Computers 4 Kids operates on a license basis and currently services well over 450 schools in Southern Africa on a monthly basis. Our key product, an integrated, relevant, endorsed and unique system called e-Learner.
• Integrated – by tying in with the classroom themes and topics that are being taught by the class teacher, which means that the learners can consolidate academic themes, skills and topics covered in the class whilst mastering vital IT skills
• Relevant – in that it is constantly updated to reflect changing trends in education and technology
• Benchmarked– by an international ICT company worldwide.
• Unique – because no other product worldwide has attempted to do what e-Learner has achieved. It is operating system independent, it works on Windows, Open Source and Mac platforms.
Curriculum materials have been localised for the various countries in which we operate.
Resource disks, templates, website links and educational games form a core element to the curriculum which is available in English, Afrikaans, Portuguese, French and Spanish, with other languages to follow. This fun and relevant integrated IT curriculum is made up of over 700 step-by-step full colour modules and has been approved by various education departments. All modules can be assessed and cover all learning areas as detailed in the National Curriculum Statement in each country we operate in.
