General information

We specialise in free-range grass-fed meat and wild meats, including pork, lamb and beef. Gogo’s, which is named after my late mother, relocated from Simonstown to Newlands, and have been very well-received. We go out of our way to source the best quality meat in the country at affordable prices. No pesticides or fertilizers are used on any of the farms, meaning that our meat is as natural as it gets. In addition, the animals are slaughtered very close to the farms removing the usual stress experienced from being transported. Less stress combined with a healthy environment means a better quality end-product.
We are well-known for our biltong – this side of the business was inherited from the shop we originally took over in Simonstown when we relocated from Kenya in 2006. It is made with an old Afrikaans recipe and slow-dried in the traditional leather bags. Gogo’s also does a range of other products like duck, chicken and quail, petit poussin, rabbit. Chicken, Duck and Quail eggs and sausages from Ollies Deli. Basically, what our discerning clientele ask for, we try to find. Our clients are really into high quality free-range meat, especially for their kids. Our chickens are so popular they are usually sold out even before the consignment arrives! The same goes for our free-range eggs which are sourced from farms around Paarl and Stellenbosch.
