Connect-123 was founded in 2006 with a simple mission: to link start-ups in Cape Town, South Africa, who had more work than they could handle, with talented students looking to gain career-related international experience. In the past eleven years, the company has grown to four continents, partnered with hundreds organizations, and delivered meaningful volunteer and intern experiences to thousands of students, recent graduates, and professionals around the world.

Through it all, we’re still guided by that same principle of providing quality hands-on, experiential learning opportunities for students and professionals all the while benefiting NGOs, schools, hospitals, local businesses, and communities in our five destination cities of Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Barcelona, Dublin and Shanghai.

As a leading international internship and volunteer program provider, we not only work with our participants to create customized programs in areas as diverse as human rights, health care, business, sustainability, and more, but are continuing to develop and foster our partnerships with universities around the world.

For the past decade, we’ve watched as students, recent grads and even experienced professionals have capitalized on the many opportunities for growth and development that meaningful international travel provides to truly become global citizens.
