FABER is a restaurant representing the synergy of two craftsmen - award-winning Chef Eric Bulpitt has come together with Avondale’s proprietor, Johnathan Grieve to offer a refined dining experience that is borne of their own unique passions for hand crafting food and wine that is authentic, honest and which take guests on a nostalgic journey.
In line with Avondale’s well-established ethos as the pioneer of premium, award-winning South African wines that are produced organically and biodynamically, FABER is a responsible, sustainability-driven restaurant focused on supporting organic, free range and low carbon producers.
Set in a classic and gracious old Cape-style building with a deep veranda leading to the garden, the vineyards and sweeping valley views; FABER is a progressive South African restaurant that offers its guests dining experiences where respect for the origins and narratives of each ingredient used are infused in every culinary creation.
