Golden Ark Care Center

General information

The Project is sponsored by Golden Ark Care Centre. This Soweto based NPO was established in 2014 in order to gal-vanise and mobilize entire communities to harness local resources and turn their socio-economic fortunes around.
It is an organization led by community men and women from different social and economic background. Who are united with the singular purpose of creating an environment in which whole communities (particularly orphans and vul-nerable children) will be empowered to take charge of their destinies.

Throughout the world there is a growing realization of the crucial role community leadership can play in socio-economic transformation of communities. With increasing contribution of community led organizations to helping people of the community they live in, Golden Ark members and together with their community members work tirelessly with the aim to fight and stop child vulnerability and child abuse by helping orphans and vulnerable children (ensuring that they get basic education as it is the right of every child and also by providing daily meals for these children). We believe that as the children are the future therefore the future of our nation depends on the welfare of our children, we therefore as Golden Ark strive to ensure the spiritual, mental and physical welfare of our children.

The subordinate miniature mission of GOLDEN ARK Projects mission is to "strive to improve the livelihoods of South African children" because the welfare of a child has a far bigger impact on the future of the nation. This principle extends further as the Organisation has found that many clients who have started are from child headed families and most oth-ers stay with the elderly who themselves need to be taken care of.
