Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, opened its South African subsidiary in 1985 and has developed a comprehensive distribution network across southern Africa. The subsidiary represents the Legrand Group's business interests in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland.

The group employs some 35 000 people and realises over 4.5 billion EUR turnover. Legrand operates globally and is directly present in more than 70 countries with their own subsidiaries and representative offices. Close to two thirds of sales are made with products ranking No. 1 or No. 2 on their market, including especially prominent positions in France, Italy, the US, Brazil, Russia, India, China and Mexico.
